fishing report november 5, 2010 Key West
with summer fading and winter cold fronts fast approaching come different species. look for cobia, trout, pompano
to name a few. as the water temperature cools these fish will show up in great numbers. along with these species you can expect
to catch lady-fish, jack coevally, bluefish, and mackerel. three different species of mackerel will be plentiful this month.
Spanish mackerel , Ciro mackerel , and the largest of the three the king mackerel. permit will head back to the shallows coming
off a extended spawn. with cooling temperature you can expect the snapper and grouper to invade any shallow water wrecks and
make their way back into the mangrove islands. while fishing these locations you may hook into a red-fish, bone-fish, or snook.
and last but not least look for sharks to be following these big schools of fish. winter time fishing is not as predictable
as our spring and summer where everyday is tarpon or permit, in fact don't expect to see any tarpon till late February or
march. but you can expect lots of rod benders and a great way to spend your day.
