Lobster diving in the keys is as good as it gets anywhere
in the world. The sport season which occurs the last Wednesday and Thursday of July offers recreational divers the opportunity
to catch lobster before the opening day of the commercial season, which is august 6. the water surrounding the keys is warm,
calm, and clear this time of year and lobster can be found under every rock, and ledge. unlike most places our lobster
are found in shallow hard bottom areas on average three to six feet deep. which for the novice, offers a great opportunity
to bag their limit of lobster.(6per person). for the more experienced divers ten to fifteen feet around coral heads
and rock ledges will also land you your bag limit. the opening day of lobster season is august 6 and recreational diving for
lobster remains good through-out the month , after august lobster become difficult to find, so plan on getting here early.
